Dari sekian banyak budak di Negeri Arab, ada satu diantaranya seorang budak muslimah yaitu Zunairah. Dia adalah budak dari seorang tokoh kafir Quraisy yang terkenal, yaitu Abu Jahal. Zurairah sangat patuh terhadap ajaran yang dibawa oleh Rasulullah S.A.W. sehingga tak mengherankan karena keimanannya itu, dia sering disaksikan oleh tuannya sedang menjalankan ibadah atau sholat.
Pada suatu hari Zunairah ditanya oleh Abu Jahal.
